sudo How to switch Linux account user without the target users password

sudo How to switch Linux account user without the target users password

Did you know if you have been granted sudo access to a remote host with su command, then you may switch to any user without the need to type in their password?

Try this out:

zemian@myhost bash> sudo su - postgres
# When prompted for password, enter your own user account password.

# Now you are in as `postgres` user!
postgres@myhost bash>

Or if you want to switch to the root user directly, simply try:

bash> sudo su -

This is very useful when you need to switch to a user account that was only setup just to run applications (eg: postgres, mysql, oracle, or weblogic etc.) and not intented for real user. In this case, you might not even know what the real password is. Above trick should get you switch into that target user account.

Switch from VirtualBox to VMware

Switch from VirtualBox to VMware

VirtualBox is a virtual machine, that able you to install operating systems in virtual store, i mean you can have a lot of operating systems on your computer, but they really not installed on your computer, they just installed on that program. Your computer works with one OS but you have and other operating systems that you can open them whenever you want. And we already learned how to install BackTrack OSAnonymous OS etc.
But i changed VirtualBox with new virtual machine which called VMware Workstation. Which is more comfortable to use and have a more settings. And thats not very good to make more comfortable your work wit that program. And for that in this post im gonna speak about new program, same this, but this one called as VMware. You can create your operating systems lab and make your work more easy. So its not for free but i will give you license keys for free. And you can use the last version of Workstation for forever.

Suns guard Devin Booker makes history scores 70 points in loss to Celtics

Devin Booker 70 Pts - Highlights | Suns vs Celtics | March 24, 2017 | 2016-17 NBA Season

BOSTON The pregame question focused on Devin Booker.

Is he the best shooter youve been around?

Ive played with some great shooters, Suns coach Earl Watson said, naming off a couple. Ray Allen, Kevin Durant. He has amazing potential. His stroke is textbook.

An hour later, Booker went out and showed as much. The second-year guard produced the highest-scoring game in franchise history,pouring in70points in a 130-120loss to the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. While the Suns lost for the seventh time, Booker put together the highest-scoring game of the season, passing the 60 Klay Thompson put up against Indiana in October.

In the process, he became the third-youngest player in NBA history at 20 years, 145 days, to record a 50-point game, joining LeBron James and Brandon Jennings.

Throughout this stretch, most of the focus has been on Phoenixs young players, which makes sense. Both rookie point guard Tyler Ulis and forward Alan Williams have made good use of their extended minutes something that will serve management well in their short-term decision-making but this also is an important time for Booker, a gifted scorerwho already has one foot in the stardom pool.

By now, most know that in two years Booker has scored in ways not many have. Before turning 20 in October, he scored 1,087 points as a teenager, sixth most in NBA history. Of the five players ahead of him on that list James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard all but Anthony were All-Stars within their third seasons. Anthony made it in his fourth season.

MORE NBA:

Booker began this trip in a slump. While battling ankle soreness, he was 13 of 55 over three games entering Thursdays Brooklyn loss. Booker said he wasnt concerned. Im just missing a lot of shots right now, he said then. Same shots Ive seen go in before.

He showed signs of breaking out against Brooklyn, but cooled in the second half, shooting 9 of 26 but finishing with 28 points. Against the Celtics, Booker looked more like himself. Once he got rolling, he didn"t stop. Hehit a bank shot in transition. He hit a jumper and was fouled. He scored in the post.

He even got some whistles.

This was an issue against Brooklyn, particularly in the second half. Booker doesnt shy from contact, but against the Nets he didnt get many calls. That night he led both teams in looks of disbelief. In Fridays second quarter, Booker drove left, fell to the court and didnt get a call. As Boston took off in transition, he shot a stare at the nearest official.

On Phoenixs next possession, Booker took the ball in the post and lowered his shoulder into Boston guard Marcus Smart, the easiest offensive foul call of the night. Booker immediately turned and ran up court. It was if he wanted to make a point. And he may have. From that point on, Booker shot 21free throws in the second half.

Booker broke his career high of 39 points in the final minutes of the third quarter. He hit 45 with nine minutes to go in the fourth. With 6:40 left, he scored in transition and was fouled giving him the sixth 50th-point game in franchise history. By this time the Garden crowd was into it, cheering for Booker to shoot every time he got the ball.

With 1:49 to go, Bookerput back his own miss, breaking Tom Chambers" record of 60 points scored against Seattle in 1990. Overall, Booker shot 21 of 40 from the fieldand made 24 of 26 from the foul line, both makes and attempts a career best. He also contributed eightrebounds and six assists.

Only problem: He didnt have much help. The Suns again were short-handed, playing without forward T.J. Warren because of a foot injury. They missed their first 13 shots, falling behind by 20 in the first quarter. From there, it was an uphill battle. The Suns trailed by as many as 26, but pulled within 10in the fourth quarter. It wasn"t enough.

And on this night, it didn"t matter.

Stretch YouTube Videos To Fit the Browser Window Better Than Full Screen

Stretch YouTube Videos To Fit the Browser Window Better Than Full Screen

You already know about the Full Screen mode in YouTube video player that scales the current video to fill the entire desktop screen.

The one big problem with full screen mode in YouTube player is that you cannot do anything else on the computer while the video is playing - you have the exit the FullScreen before initiating any other task.

Theres however an excellent alternative to Full Screen mode and thats about auto resizing the video player to fit the browser window. When you resize the browser window, the dimensions of YouTube Video player will change accordingly.

Heres how you fit the YouTube video in the browser window:

Say a YouTube Video URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr3x_RRJdd4

To watch this clip in a resizable browser window without switching to Full Screen, just rewrite the above URL a http://www.youtube.com/v/vr3x_RRJdd4

In other words, just append the YouTube video ID to this URL www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID and stretch your browser window. You can then easily switch to other tabs, open new applications or do anything else while the YouTube clip is still playing in the maximum possible screen area.

Super Mario Run Is Finally Released Here’s How To Download And Play

Super Mario Run Is Finally Released Here’s How To Download And Play

 Nintendo has released the Super Mario Run games created after the long time famous character Mario. The game, priced $10, is currently available on the App Store for Apple iPhone and iPad. Super Mario also requires an always-on internet connection to play the game.
Keeping up with their announcement made at the Apple iPhone 7 launch event, Nintendo has released the game Super Mario Run for iPhone and iPad on December 15, 2016. The game requires an always-on internet connection, just like Pokemon GO, which recently expanded to countries in South Asia along with a special edition Pikachu.
A mandatory internet connection for playing Super Mario Run is an attempt from Nintendo to keep the pirates out of the picture. However, this may limit the number of places where people can enjoy the game.
The game comes in 10 different languages and its released in 150 countries over the world. Nintendo touts the game by saying it can be played using one hand. So, you can enjoy the game while youre on the subway.
Super Mario Run is free to download from the App Store but it only allows you to play the first three levels for free. After this, a $10 (varies by country) payment has to be made to continue the game.
The gameplay has three modes, Toad Rally, World Tour, and Kingdom Builder. You can choose from a total of six runners including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Toadette.
Nintendo, in the post-2000 years, has underestimated has the potential of the mobile market. The company was picky enough to favor their own hardware to develop games for their franchise characters including Mario. It was only after Pokemon Go, Nintendo tasted the success fruit in the mobile gaming market.
For Android users, Super Mario Run is expected to release sometime in the year 2017.
You can use this link to find Super Mario Run on the iTunes App Store.

Student Hacks Teacher’s Email Account Sends Porn To Parents Teachers And Students

Student Hacks Teacher’s Email Account Sends Porn To Parents Teachers And Students

Short Bytes:A teenager student from Gilbert recently broke into the email account of his teacher and used it to send pornographic images to other teachers, students, and parents. The school has now disabled the email accounts and an investigation is being carried out by the FBI and local police.

According to a report, a student at the Highland Junior High School in Mesa, Arizona broke into the email system of his school. He gained access to a teachers email account and used that to send inappropriate messages to others.
This school is a part of the Gilbert Public Schools District. The District explains that the student got access to the teachers email login information and e-mailed pornographic content to other students, staff, and parents.
You could say the student was trying to embarrass the teacher, said school board member Daryl Colvin,
Recently the school also came into the limelight for its decision to buy Chromebooks for each student. The Gilbert residents expressed their concerns regarding students accessing porn.
However, as soon as the schools technology department came to know about it, it quickly disabled the student and teacher accounts.
The school also called the FBI and Mesa Police to investigate the case. As the student is a minor, his name hasnt been revealed to the public.

Switch Between Multiple Lists Of Apps Pinned To Unity Launcher With Launcher List Indicator Updated Again

Switch Between Multiple Lists Of Apps Pinned To Unity Launcher With Launcher List Indicator Updated Again

Launcher List Indicator is a simple AppIndicator that makes it easy to switch between multiple lists of Unity Launcher icons (apps pinned to the launcher).

Launcher List Indicator

The indicator allows saving applications that are pinned to the Unity launcher as a list that can later be restored from the its menu.

This is useful if you often use the same computer for multiple purposes. For instance, you can have a profile with applications that you only use for work, another profile with for web-related stuff, and another one for gaming, and easily switch between them using Launcher List Indicator.

Update 1: Launcher List Indicator now includes options to hide the indicator label (so only an icon is displayed), toggle Unity launcher visibility, and to change the indicator icon.

Also, the app now ships with a monochrome icon, and Ive set it as default for the package from the WebUpd8 PPA. You can still use the old icon if you want, by selecting Extras > Change icon from the indicator menu, and then selecting the colored Launcher List Indicator icon (indicator-icon-orig.png) from /usr/share/pixmaps/.

Update 2: the AppIndicator features a new option which allows clearing the Unity Launcher (removes favorites, so you can easily create a new profile). This can be accessed from the indicator menu > Extras > Clear Launcher.

Update 3: Launcher List Indicator can now automatically change the profile based on the current workspace:

To access this feature, select "Toggle workspace switcher" from the "Extras" menu.

After configuring this for the first time, the "Toggle workspace switcher" menu item can be used to enable / disable this feature. To reconfigure the profiles used for each workspace, use the Extras > Reconfigure Workspace List (this only shows up after it was configured once).

Other changes with this update include:
  • middle-click on indicator calls dialog for saving current launcher as a profile
  • hovering over indicator icon and scrolling up switched lists backwards, scrolling down - switches forward

Heres an updated screenshot which includes these new features:

Launcher List Indicator

Install Launcher List Indicator

To install Launcher List Indicator, you can use its official PPA. To add the PPA and install the indicator in Ubuntu, use the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:launcher-list-indicator/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install launcher-list-indicator
If you dont want to add the PPA, you can download the deb from HERE.

Once installed, launch it from Dash.

To have Launcher List Indicator start automatically on login, youll need to add it to startup. To do this, launch "Startup Applications" from Dash, click "Add", enter anything you want under "Name", and use "launcher-list-indicator" in the "Command" field.

Report any bugs you may find @ GitHub.

Swipe to Refresh ListView using SwipeRefreshLayout

Swipe to Refresh ListView using SwipeRefreshLayout

With android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout, user can refresh the contents of a view via a vertical swipe gesture. This example show how to implement Swipe-to-Refresh ListView using SwipeRefreshLayout.

activity_main.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout

android_layout_width="match_parent"
android_layout_height="match_parent"
android_padding="16dp"
android_orientation="vertical"
tools_context="com.blogspot.android_er.androidswiperefresh.MainActivity">

<TextView
android_layout_width="wrap_content"
android_layout_height="wrap_content"
android_layout_gravity="center_horizontal"
android_autoLink="web"
android_text="http://android-er.blogspot.com/"
android_textStyle="bold" />

<android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout
android_id="@+id/swiperefreshlayout"
android_layout_height="match_parent"
android_layout_width="match_parent">
<ListView
android_id="@+id/swipelist"
android_layout_width="match_parent"
android_layout_height="match_parent"/>
</android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout>

</LinearLayout>

MainActivity.java
package com.blogspot.android_er.androidswiperefresh;

import android.os.Bundle;
import android.support.v4.widget.SwipeRefreshLayout;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.widget.ArrayAdapter;
import android.widget.ListAdapter;
import android.widget.ListView;

import java.text.DateFormat;
import java.util.ArrayList;
import java.util.Date;
import java.util.List;

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

SwipeRefreshLayout swipeRefreshLayout;
ListView swipeList;

List<String> myList;
ListAdapter adapter;

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

swipeRefreshLayout = (SwipeRefreshLayout)findViewById(R.id.swiperefreshlayout);
swipeRefreshLayout.setOnRefreshListener(new SwipeRefreshLayout.OnRefreshListener() {
@Override
public void onRefresh() {
refresh();
}
});

swipeList = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.swipelist);

myList = new ArrayList<>();
adapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(
this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, myList);
swipeList.setAdapter(adapter);
}

private void refresh(){
//insert dummy string of current date/time
String currentDateTime = DateFormat.getDateTimeInstance().format(new Date());
myList.add(currentDateTime);
swipeList.invalidateViews();
swipeRefreshLayout.setRefreshing(false);
}
}

In this example, the ListView items is updated in SwipeRefreshLayout.OnRefreshListener(). But normally refreshing involve longtime task, such as loading from Internet. The next example show how to refresh with longtime task run in background thread.

Switching from iPhone to Android

Switching from iPhone to Android

I found this nice article about jumping from iphone to android. Everyone who knows me knows that I am an android guy :) I have used Iphone and to be honest it has good things but most of them I do not like; maybe because I am a developer and I like openness and apple iOS just simple does not have.

I must say that iOS is much user friendly than Android  also their apps, but I am sure that is something Android will improve eventually and whats more from a developer point of view it is not a deal breaker.

The article mentions the good and the bad of moving from iPhone to Android. Things good like free navigation, voice input commands, notifications, perfect harmony with Google services, storage options and a lot more. And also the bad things like the Android fragmentation. It is true, since it is open you can find a lot of android flavors thanks to the manufactures, low battery life ( Evo from spring ) .

Really it is a nice article to read if you are planning to switch to an Android powered device :)

Susan Rice requested to unmask names of Trump transition officials sources say

Susan Rice requested to unmask names of Trump transition officials sources say

Spicer Comments on Susan Rice Unmasking Controversy

Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caught up in surveillance.

The unmasked names, of people associated with Donald Trump, were then sent to all those at the National Security Council, some at the Defense Department, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan essentially, the officials at the top, including former Rice deputy Ben Rhodes.

The names were part of incidental electronic surveillance of candidate and President-elect Trump and people close to him, including family members, for up to a year before he took office.

It was not clear how Rice knew to ask for the names to be unmasked, but the question was being posed by the sources late Monday.

"What I know is this ... If the intelligence community professionals decide that theres some value, national security, foreign policy or otherwise in unmasking someone, they will grant those requests," former Obama State Department spokeswoman and Fox News contributor Marie Harf told Fox News" Martha MacCallum on "The First 100 Days. "And we have seen no evidence ... that there was partisan political notice behind this and we cant say that unless theres actual evidence to back that up."

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, asked about the revelations at Mondays briefing, declined to comment specifically on what role rice may have played or officials motives.

Im not going to comment on this any further until [congressional] committees have come to a conclusion, he said, while contrasting the medias alleged lack of interest in these revelations with the intense coverage of suspected Trump-Russia links.

When names of Americans are incidentally collected, they are supposed to be masked, meaning the name or names are redacted from reports whether it is international or domestic collection, unless it is an issue of national security, crime or if their security is threatened in any way. There are loopholes and ways to unmask through backchannels, but Americans are supposed to be protected from incidental collection. Sources told Fox News that in this case, they were not.

This comes in the wake of Evelyn Farkas television interview last month in which the former Obama deputy secretary of defense said in part: I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration.

Meanwhile, Fox News also is told that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes knew about unmasking and leaking back in January, well before President Trumps tweet in March alleging wiretapping.

Nunes has faced criticism from Democrats for viewing pertinent documents on White House grounds and announcing their contents to the press. But sources said the intelligence agencies slow-rolled Nunes. He could have seen the logs at other places besides the White House SCIF [secure facility], but it had already been a few weeks. So he went to the White House because he could protect his sources and he could get to the logs.

As the Obama administration left office, it also approved new rules that gave the NSA much broader powers by relaxing the rules about sharing intercepted personal communications and the ability to share those with 16 other intelligence agencies.

Rice is no stranger to controversy. As the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, she appeared on several Sunday news shows to defend the adminstration"s later debunked claim that the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on a U.S. consulate in Libya was triggered by an Internet video.

Rice also told ABC News in 2014 that Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl "served the United States with honor and distinction" and that he "wasn"t simply a hostage; he was an American prisoner of war captured on the battlefield."

Submit a Complete Sitemap of your Blogger Blog to Google for Better Indexing

Submit a Complete Sitemap of your Blogger Blog to Google for Better Indexing

The Problem with Blogger Sitemap Files

Ideally, the sitemap file should contain all URLs of a site but if your blog is hosted on blogspot.com (or if you are using a self-hosted version of Blogger with a custom domain), youll be surprised to know that the default sitemap file (see example) contains only the 26 most recent pages of your blog.
Thats a bad thing because some of your older blog pages, that are missing from the system-generated sitemap file, may never get indexed in search engines. Theres however a simple solution to fix this problem.

Generate a Complete Sitemap for your Blogger Blog

Step 1: If you havent done this already, sign-in to your Google Webmasters account and add your blog. For details, check this video tutorial on how to add a blog to Google.
Step 2: Once your blog is added to Google, open the Sitemap Generator and type the full address of your blogspot blog (or your self-hosted Blogger blog).

Once youre Done with adding all th sitemap to the webmaster Your Dashboard should be like this

Stream Videos To Chromecast From The Command Line Using Stream2Chromecast

Stream Videos To Chromecast From The Command Line Using Stream2Chromecast

Stream2Chromecast is a command line Chromecast media streamer for Linux. The tool can transcode unsupported formats in real time and play them on the Chromecast.

Those who prefer a GUI for for streaming videos to Chromecast can use Videostream for Google Chromecast, a Chrome extension that allows playing local videos (including formats that arent directly supported by Chromecast) on your Chromecast. It supports subtitles, comes with iOS and Android remote controls, and more.

Stream2Chromecast features:
  • cast audio and video to a Chromecast device;
  • pass an URL to be played on the Chromecast; the file must be streamable and a Chromecast supported format since it cant be transcoded;
  • can transcode any formats not supported by the Chromecast in real time (using FFmpeg or Libav), so you dont have to convert any video manually;
  • provides basic control commands: pause / unpause / stop playback (currently this only works when not transcoding), set or mute volume;
  • allows specifying a device when multiple Chromecasts are connected on the same network;
  • supports passing custom custom transcoder parameters to ffmpeg or avconv (thanks to this, you can set the quality, add subtitles even though Stream2Chromecast doesnt directly support it, etc.);
  • supports specifying the port to use for streaming media.

For audio-only files, no metadata (artist, title, cover image, etc.) is displayed by Chromecast.

You may be wondering how Stream2Chromecast compares to castnow, another command-line Chromecast player.

I initially wanted to write about both castnow and Stream2Chromecast. However, castnow had quite a few issues in my test under Ubuntu 16.04, such as stuttering playback for MKV files, subtitles didnt work with the "--tomp4" flag (which transcodes the video to MP4), and more.

Furthermore, castnow is currently looking for a new maintainer, and its last GitHub commit dates back to April, 2016, so it doesnt look like it will receive any improvements or bug fixes anytime soon.

Basic Stream2Chromecast usage

Notes:
  • the instructions below assume youve installed Stream2Chromecast from the main WebUpd8 PPA (see the installation instructions below). If you install Stream2Chromecast manually, youll need to use the full path to stream2chromecast.py (e.g.: "/path/to/stream2chromecast.py /path/to/my_media.mp4") for the commands below;
  • the computer running Stream2Chromecast and the Chromecast device must be in the same network;
  • ffmpeg or libav-tools are required for transcoding. If both are installed, ffmpeg is used by default.

To stream a supported media file (you can find a list of the media supported by Google Cast, HERE)
 to your Chromecast, simply use the following command:
stream2chromecast "/path/to/some-video.mp4"
Replacing "/path/to/some-video.mp4" with the exact path and filename of the video you want to play (e.fg.: stream2chromecast "/home/andrei/Videos/VIDEO1.mp4").

In my test, Stream2Chromecast failed to connect to my Chromecast if I didnt specify the Chromecast IP address, while other tools, such as pulseaudio-dnla, didnt have this issue, so Im guessing this is a bug.

If thats the case for you too, you can specify the Chromecast IP by adding the "-devicename" flag followed by the Chromecast IP address, to the stream2chromecast command, like this:
stream2chromecast -devicename CHROMECAST_IP_ADDRESS "/path/to/some-video.mp4"
Where "CHROMECAST_IP_ADDRESS" is the Chromecast IP address. You can find out your Chromecast IP address either by looking at your routers connected devices list or from the Google Cast mobile app, under "Device settings", under "Information" (at the bottom of the Device Settings).

Note that if youre having the same issue as me, and you need to enter the device IP address, you must do this for all Stream2Chromecast commands!

In the same way, you can also specify the Chromecast name:
stream2chromecast -devicename CHROMECAST_NAME "/path/to/some-video.mp4"

If you want to play an unsupported format (you can find a list of the media supported by Google Cast, HERE) on your Chromecast, you need to add the "-transcode" flag and have either Libav or FFmpeg installed:
stream2chromecast -transcode "/path/to/some-video.avi"
Where "/path/to/some-video.avi" is the exact path and filename of the media file you want to play on your Chromecast. You can append other flags to this command, like "-devicename CHROMECAST_IP_ADDRESS", which Ive mentioned above.

Stream2Chromecast also supports specifying custom transcoder parameters. As an example, heres a command that passes the device IP address, transcodes the video, and adds subtitles via a custom FFmpeg parameter (for FFmpeg only):
stream2chromecast -devicename CHROMECAST_IP_ADDRESS -transcodeopts -vf subtitles="/path/to/some-video.srt" -transcode "/path/to/some-video.avi"
Where CHROMECAST_IP_ADDRESS is your Chromecast IP address, "/path/to/some-video.avi" is the exact path and filename of the video you want to play on the Chromecast, and "/path/to/some-video.srt" is the exact subtitle path and filename of the subtitle file you want to use.

More about the FFmpeg subtitle filters, HERE.

Update: the app now allows playing a supported file from an URL (the file must be streamable and cannot be transcoded). To play a file from an URL, simply use:
stream2chromecast -playurl URL
Where URL is the video file URL, e.g. "http://www.example.com/my_media.mp4".

To stop stream2chromecast from streaming, either press Ctrl + C in the terminal where you ran the Stream2Chromecast (sometimes this can throw an exception / error - ignore it), or run the following command in a different terminal window:
stream2chromecast -stop

To view all the Stream2Chromecast options, run it in a terminal without any parameters:
stream2chromecast
Or visit the Stream2Chromecast GitHub page.

Download / Install Stream2Chromecast

Ubuntu 16.04 and 14.04 / Linux Mint 18 or 17.x users can install Stream2Chromecast by using the main WebUpd8 PPA. Add the PPA and install it using the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt update
sudo apt install stream2chromecast

If you dont want to add the PPA or you dont use Ubuntu, you can grab the deb from HERE or download Stream2Chromecast from GitHub (either via Git or by downloading the latest code as a .tar.gz archive - HEREs a direct link).

Report any bugs you may find @ GitHub.
