Hello everyone, we wanted to inform you of a couple of upcoming scheduled maintenance windows.
Generally speaking we are aiming to limit our scheduled maintenance period to once a week, on Tuesdays. We are aiming for this weekly maintenance period to take place in an off-peak time for both North American and European players. We are also aiming to inform players of the precise duration of any weekly maintenance period at least 24 hours before the maintenance begins.The upcoming maintenance windows (detailed below) are exceptions, and are needed to prepare ourselves for our official launch on December 20th.
Maintenance Window #1:
Date: Early hours of Friday, December 16th (CST)Time: 2AM CST (12AM PST/3AM EST/8AM GMT/9AM CET)
All game servers and SWTOR.com will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to take no more than two hours, but could be extended.
Maintenance Window #2:
Date: Evening of December 19th (CST)Time: 6PM CST (4PM PST/7PM EST/12AM GMT/1AM CET)
All game servers and SWTOR.com will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to complete before 11PM CST, and will mark the end of Early Game Access for Star Wars�: The Old Republic�.
Maintenance Window #3:
Date: Early hours of December 22nd (CST)Time: 2AM CST (12AM PST/3AM EST/8AM GMT/9AM CET)
All game servers and SWTOR.com will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to take no more than three hours, but could be extended.
Thanks for your patience as we maintain service for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Switch Between Multiple Lists Of Apps Pinned To Unity Launcher With Launcher List Indicator Updated Again
Launcher List Indicator is a simple AppIndicator that makes it easy to switch between multiple lists of Unity Launcher icons (apps pinned to the launcher).
The indicator allows saving applications that are pinned to the Unity launcher as a list that can later be restored from the its menu.
This is useful if you often use the same computer for multiple purposes. For instance, you can have a profile with applications that you only use for work, another profile with for web-related stuff, and another one for gaming, and easily switch between them using Launcher List Indicator.
Update 1: Launcher List Indicator now includes options to hide the indicator label (so only an icon is displayed), toggle Unity launcher visibility, and to change the indicator icon.
Also, the app now ships with a monochrome icon, and Ive set it as default for the package from the WebUpd8 PPA. You can still use the old icon if you want, by selecting Extras > Change icon from the indicator menu, and then selecting the colored Launcher List Indicator icon (indicator-icon-orig.png) from /usr/share/pixmaps/.

Update 2: the AppIndicator features a new option which allows clearing the Unity Launcher (removes favorites, so you can easily create a new profile). This can be accessed from the indicator menu > Extras > Clear Launcher.
Update 3: Launcher List Indicator can now automatically change the profile based on the current workspace:
To access this feature, select "Toggle workspace switcher" from the "Extras" menu.
After configuring this for the first time, the "Toggle workspace switcher" menu item can be used to enable / disable this feature. To reconfigure the profiles used for each workspace, use the Extras > Reconfigure Workspace List (this only shows up after it was configured once).
Other changes with this update include:
- middle-click on indicator calls dialog for saving current launcher as a profile
- hovering over indicator icon and scrolling up switched lists backwards, scrolling down - switches forward

Install Launcher List Indicator
To install Launcher List Indicator, you can use its official PPA. To add the PPA and install the indicator in Ubuntu, use the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:launcher-list-indicator/ppa
sudo apt update
sudo apt install launcher-list-indicatorOnce installed, launch it from Dash.
To have Launcher List Indicator start automatically on login, youll need to add it to startup. To do this, launch "Startup Applications" from Dash, click "Add", enter anything you want under "Name", and use "launcher-list-indicator" in the "Command" field.

Switch Between Multiple Lists Of Apps Pinned To Unity Launcher With Launcher List Indicator
Launcher List Indicator is a simple AppIndicator that makes it easy to switch between multiple lists of Unity Launcher icons (apps pinned to the launcher).

Launcher List Indicator is pretty basic. It allows switching between profiles (obviously), saving and removing profiles. There are no settings, and it doesnt ship with a monochrome panel icon (you can change its icon if you want, by replacing the "indicator-icon.png" file - if youve used the PPA package, this can be found in /opt/launcher-list-indicator/).
Install Launcher List Indicator
To install Launcher List Indicator, you can use the main WebUpd8 PPA. To add the PPA and install the indicator in Ubuntu, use the following commands:
If you dont want to add the PPA, you can download the deb from HERE.sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt update
sudo apt install launcher-list-indicator
Once installed, launch it from Dash.

Sublime Text Sync your configuration and packages between multiple machines
When you code from multiple locations and machines, you always aim to have the same development enviroment if possible. Now syncing Sublime Text between multiple machines is as easy as installing a package.
You should start from your already well configured setup and install "Package Syncing" in package control. If you have no idea how to do that, read about it here: https://packagecontrol.io/
To set up the sync, you can use dropbox or any other cloud service. Run "Package Syncing: Define Sync Folder" from the command palette and set the syn directory.
In my case it became /home/tenchi/Dropbox/Apps/SublimeText
On the other machines just make a clean install, set up package control, install the Package Syncing package and set the same path as before (assuming you use the same cloud service and same directories). Restart Sublime Text and it should sync all packages and settings.

We recently shared a network connections profile manager called NetSetMan for people who frequently travel with their laptops. Each time they get to a new location, they have to manually change settings of their network card and browser proxy server before connecting to the internet.
Though NetSetMan has a free full version, some comments have pointed out that the license prohibits use of the software at work or any commercial purpose.
If you need to shuttle your notebook computer between home and various office locations, the other good alternative is Net Profiles that again helps you effortlessly change your network connection settings .
With Net Profiles, you create various profiles for each of your network settings and you can easily switch from one to another. Can also be used for managing network printers, mapped drives and multiple Wi-Fi wireless networks.
