Nintendo has released the Super Mario Run games created after the long time famous character Mario. The game, priced $10, is currently available on the App Store for Apple iPhone and iPad. Super Mario also requires an always-on internet connection to play the game.
eeping up with their announcement made at the Apple iPhone 7 launch event, Nintendo has released the game Super Mario Run for iPhone and iPad on December 15, 2016. The game requires an always-on internet connection, just like Pokemon GO, which recently expanded to countries in South Asia along with a special edition Pikachu.
A mandatory internet connection for playing Super Mario Run is an attempt from Nintendo to keep the pirates out of the picture. However, this may limit the number of places where people can enjoy the game.
The game comes in 10 different languages and it�s released in 150 countries over the world. Nintendo touts the game by saying it can be played using one hand. So, you can enjoy the game while you�re on the subway.
Super Mario Run is free to download from the App Store but it only allows you to play the first three levels for free. After this, a $10 (varies by country) payment has to be made to continue the game.
The gameplay has three modes, Toad Rally, World Tour, and Kingdom Builder. You can choose from a total of six runners including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and Toadette.
Nintendo, in the post-2000 years, has underestimated has the potential of the mobile market. The company was picky enough to favor their own hardware to develop games for their franchise characters including Mario. It was only after Pokemon Go, Nintendo tasted the success fruit in the mobile gaming market.
For Android users, Super Mario Run is expected to release sometime in the year 2017.

Summer is over the kids are in school! The traffic in NoVA is back.
It has been a while since I have posted, was busy with a few other things.
Passed my GCIA and wrote an article for Coast Guard Forum Magazine.
The GCIA was the hardest SANS test I have taken. A lot of raw packet hex conversions, and a big focus on ICMP codes !?! But it is done. I can add to the alphabet soup at the end of my name, change my Linkedin profile and join a few more groups.
The article for the Coast Guard Forum Magazine was a request from our marketing department to explain cyber security for our company. 4 questions that needed to be answered in 200-300 words. After a few revisions with an editor the final text has been sent to the publisher. Waiting anxiously to see my name in print in the realm of cyber security! I made sure to mention Security Onion and NSM!

Few of our systems seem to have generated as much passion as our Unify Color to Chest Piece system. So, Id like to shed a bit of light onto exactly what this system is, what happened to it and what is in store for it in the future. Pretty much from the start of the project, one of our goals was to solve the mismatched color issue that exists in many MMORPGs. This initiative has actually been driven directly by James Ohlen, our Game Director, as this is an issue close to his heart.Now, it is useful to understand that when artists create a new piece of armor, they always create it as part of a set. A certain pair of pants, for example, is thematically meant to go with a specific chest armor, gloves, boots, bracers and helmet. If the players always put on full sets, they would look very good indeed and the colors from the different pieces would complement each other. Of course, at any given level, players have access to many such sets and wear bits and pieces from multiple sources.
Now, in Star Wars�: The Old Republic�, we have created sets that, in many cases, are quite compatible with each other. Youll notice that, for example, Jedi Knight outfits use a lot of earthy colors that work quite well together regardless of which set they come from. Unfortunately, this is not always true � the Trooper is a good example of a class that does not look its best with mismatched pieces.
To solve this we created an option called Unify color to chest piece, which we also called Color Match. Once turned on, the option automatically matched the color of any equipped piece of armor to the color scheme of the chest piece. This option was very popular with our testers and did solve the color clash problem, but not without introducing some issues.
While we have a policy not to give details on a system in progress, I do want to talk a little about the worst design issue we encountered. As implemented, Color Match had a subtle but ultimately perverse effect: from the moment it was turned on, the player would perceive far less diversity in their loot. In some cases, to be honest, there are only so many differences we can create between two pairs of boots apart from their color scheme.
Take away their color differences - thanks to the Color Match system - and you are left with a game that feels a bit less rewarding; where, sometimes, putting on your exciting new gear barely changes the appearance of the character. Depending on your personal preferences and your play style, this may or may not seem like much... but an MMO is a complex system of challenges and rewards and, as designers, we must stay vigilant in that regard.
So, anyway, the good news is that we are not only committed to solving the color clashing problem, we want to actually improve on the Color Matching system players experienced during Game Testing. The bad news is... well, this wont be in for launch. The system we are currently working on isnt quite done yet and has many dependencies. After taking a hard look, we decided it would be preferable to keep Color Matching turned off for launch rather than try to do a potentially messy post-launch conversion. If anything, the live changes we made during testing to other systems (like the cover system or the item modification system) have shown us how confusing switching things under peoples noses can be.
This wasnt exactly an easy decision � we know how popular the feature is and how eager and vocal the community has been for its return. So, I humbly ask for your patience. The feature (or, to be exact, something I consider a better version of the feature) will return. The next time you find a particularly bad combination of armor pieces, take some screenshots - and hopefully in a few months (as always, no deadline is guaranteed), you�ll be able to tell new players "Back in my day, we had to wear those orange pants with purple boots! Uphill! Both ways! In the snow!"

Its called Surface Dial and what it does is enable Surface Studio, Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 adopters to handle content, access various and functions, and use various features on their device. But how does it work exactly?
On a Surface Studio, the Surface Dial is meant to be positioned on the display, while on the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, which have not been designed with Surface Studio support from the get-go, you keep the accessory next to the device to get what Microsoft calls "off-screen functionality". Here is what it can do.
The idea behind Surface Dial is to give Surface users another input option, mainly to make the software and the hardware more powerful and easy to use. If you press and hold it, it opens tools and shortcuts -- so, for instance, you can get a special menu in an image editing program to help you change the hue or move to a different position on the image. It also lets you navigate through different screens and drop-down menus, change songs, and scroll and pan.
On the Surface Studio, a Surface Dial works best, because, for one, the two are designed to be used together and also because as it is meant to be used while it is on the display you can keep both of your hands on top of the device or in front of it and work just like you would while creating a blueprint, for instance. And you will be able to do that just fine because it offers 3,600 points of precision and is touted to be very smooth and give users feedback when its rotated.
Surface Dial is going to be available on November 10, and it will cost $99. The price is only a problem if you have a Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 or want to order the Surface Studio after its release, because those who pre-order a Surface Studio will get one in the box. But, frankly, at $2,999 for a base Surface Studio, it should be included for everyone who gets Microsofts new all-in-one PC. If thats not you, then you can pre-order a Surface Dial now.
