Post in Swedish about a meeting in our local UC user group in Sweden.

Denna tisdag var 17 personer p� plats hos Atea i Kista och k�kade pizza fr�n klockan 17:30. Runt 18:00 drog m�tet ig�ng och det var ca 10-12 personer med online i Lync m�tet under kv�llen. Johan hade riggat upp en Polycom roundtable-kamera i rummet d�r vi satt. M�tet avslutades med spridda konversationer runt 20:30.


M�tet h�ll en trevlig, avslappnad ton med mycket bra dialog och erfarenhetsutbyte, tack alla som deltog!

P� Lyncconf 13 i San Diego sade Microsoft att "Enterprise Voice kommer i Office 365 om 18 m�nader" och nu �r det ganska precis 18 m�nader sedan. Ingen verkade dock veta n�got speciellt som �r p� g�ng eller h�nt, ingen verkade heller veta n�got i detalj om n�sta version av Lync (Lync 2015?) Vi efterfr�gar samtliga mer info fr�n Microsoft kring dessa �mnen.

En l�ng diskussion kring Lync och Skype, video och Lync Room System f�ljde. F�r- och nackdelar med LRS och andra system analyserades. Vi var inte helt �verens kring kostnaden f�r s�dana system, �r de "dyra" eller "prisv�rda"?

N�gra bra exempel och l�nkar d�k upp under m�tet.

Samtalen gled in p� Office 365 och Office 365 med Enterprise Vocie. Problemet med avsaknaden av QoS p� internet och p� WiFi-n�t togs upp. Peter fr�n Cellip ber�ttade om ett kundcase d�r kunder k�r hostad Lync via MPLS �ver halva v�rlden och det fungerar fint. �ven kommunikation �ver internet fungerar bra i Sverige.

Arubas Wifi-l�sning f�r Lync verkar bra, det funkar f�r Cellip, men de hade visserligen inte problem med WiFi innan de implementerade detta. H�kan n�mnde ocks� en kund som k�r med Aruba Wifi och Lync d�r det funkar finfint.

Alexander p�pekade att konferenser som k�rs via VPN-anslutningar fungerar sjukt d�ligt i j�mf�relse med att strunta i VPN-klienten, trots att bandbredd inte �r ett problem. Detta beror troligen p� att VPN l�gger p� kryptering / dekryptering av de redan krypterade Lync paketen vilket alltid kommer p�verka kvalit�n. L�sningen �r att inte anv�nda Lync �ver VPN, utan att anv�nda Lync edge server. En bra artikel kring detta finns h�r.

Nya intressanta saker �r p� g�ng fr�n Apple som t.ex. "Handoff".

En l�ng session kring enbart Lync kontra Lync integrerad med PBX f�ljde.
Vi tycktes relativt eniga om att det beh�vs en l�ngsiktig plan n�r man ger sig i s�dana projekt. Anv�ndandet och nyttan f�r slutanv�ndaren f�r aldrig gl�mmas bort under planering och inf�rande. Delade meningar fanns kring planer p� att sluta anv�nda PBX till f�rm�n f�r Lync kontra att PBXer fortfarande har funktionalitet som saknas eller fungerar annorlunda i Lync. Ska man k�ra b�de Lync och PBX eller best�mma sig f�r en av dem? Perspektivet st�rre / mindre organisationer togs �ven upp, samt skillnaden mellan IT-avdelning kontra telefoniansvarig. Diskussionen fl�t p� bra med m�nga kommentarer och med h�gt i tak.

Enskilda funktioner som h�nvisning, mobilanknytning, telefonistkonsoler och upptagethantering diskuterades och det k�nns som vi k�rt den diskussionen tidigare.

Lite trender hann vi ocks� med. Det verkar vara en generationsfr�ga med h�nvisning, och huruvida man f�redrar IM framf�r r�stsamtal.

En ny trend som n�gra sett �r hur tillg�ngen och behovet av bandbredd fluktuerat? �ver tiden. N�r Voip var nytt hade "alla" QoS problem, senare hade f� det problemet i och med att alla uppgraderade till 100Mbps n�t. Nu har vi nya applikationer som k�kar upp all bandbredd och de gamla kvalitetsproblemen �r tillbaka igen. Ett s�tt att f� b�ttre insikt i hur det egentligen ser ut i ett n�t d�r vi har Lync �r att sl� ig�ng CAC (Call Admission Control.) CAC kan anv�ndas utan att s�tta n�gra policies f�r alternativ n�r bandbredden �r slut. Nyttan med det d� �r att man kan kolla rapporter f�r hur mycket bandbredd Lync anv�nder. D� ser man vart man ska b�rja leta efter problem med d�lig bandbredd i n�tet.

Ytterligare en stark trend som g�tt lite under radarn men har en stor p�verkan f�r Lync �r att s� gott som alla numera k�r b�rbara datorer �ver Wifi.

Klubben verkar vilja ha ytterligare ett m�te under h�sten, samt att vi alla kan ses p� Techdays November 19-20 i Kista, h�ll koll p� Linkedin-gruppen f�r kommande events.

Tracfone Sales, Discounts and Deals for July 2014

List of the latest deals on cell phones for Tracfone from around the web. Some of the deals listed below are for both minutes and phones, others for just phones.

1. Motorola EX 431G for $5 (or $100 with 2000 minutes!)

About the Deal: This Motorola phone has a full QWERTY keyboard that makes texting fast and simple. It also comes with Triple Minutes for Life, which is a fantastic deal. If you still have a phone with double minutes, (or no extra minutes!) you should probably upgrade and at $5 this deal is hard to beat! Just be sure to buy the Moto EX 431G that has Triple Minutes as some versions only have double.

If youre looking for a big minutes bundle, check out this deal on HSN for the Moto EX431G and 2000 minutes for $100. The minutes alone are worth more than $100, and this deal works out to 5 cents per minute.

2. LG 306G for $20 on Amazon (and eBay!)

About the Deal: The LG 306G is a touchscreen phone from Tracfone that uses GSM networks and does not have the Android operating system. It comes with Triple Minutes for Life and the minutes are all in one pool.

The LG 306G was released more recently and you can check out our review of the LG 306G for more information on the phone. It is a great little device similar to the LG 840G and $20 is the lowest weve seen for it.

This deal comes with free shipping, and is available on eBay as well.

3. 200 Minutes for $35 and 400 Minutes/1 Year for $93 on Amazon

About the Deal: These two deals on minutes are a nice discount from the usual price on minute cards for Tracfone.

A 200 Minute Tracfone Card usually goes for $40 (plus tax) and this deal is for $30.50 plus $5 shipping.

A 1 year/400 minute card usually goes for $100 (plus tax) and this deal is for $87.99 plus $5 shipping.

As you can see, each deal offers a few dollars off the usual price you find in stores and on the Tracfone website. So with a little planning you can save a few bucks.

4. LG Optimus Dynamic with 600 Minutes $40

About the Deal: The LG Optimus Dynamic is the smallest Android touchscreen device offered by Tracfone. It comes with Triple Minutes for Life, Android 2.3 and a 3.2" screen. While this phone is not as advanced as most other smartphones and suffers from low storage capacity, it is a great first smartphone and an incredible value.

5. LG Optimus Dynamic II with 600 Minutes for $100

About the Deal: The LG Optimus Dynamic II is bigger and better than the original Dynamic in almost every way. It has a 3.8" touchscreen, more internal memory, Android 4.1 and much more.

It typically retails for around $90 online and in stores, but this deal is for $100 and includes 600 minutes worth $40. If youre looking for the latest smartphone from Tracfone, this is it right now. Check out our review of the LG Optimus Dynamic II for more details on it.

This deal is also available through Amazon, but it doesnt have free shipping.

There are several shopping websites like HSN.com, QVC.com and ShopHQ.com which feature some great deals from time to time but they tend to be very short term. Keep an eye out if youre looking for a good deal on a new phone.
